Was the bill collector boat 53?
Tek looking at the pic of your fish it looks like she was hooked on the outside of the mouth?Maybe it's just the pic.

QQ... yes the fish was hooked outside the mouth. Once the fish was at the dock... I had to pry the hook out. I put my finger in the hole (STOP IT RIGHT NOW) and pulled as hard as I could (I MEAN IT... DON"T GO THERE) and couldn't rip the piece loose.
This fish was nothing short of amazing. I have to say that this was truely a team effort. Each person brought their A game and everyone stepped up a knotch and handled every situation perfectly. Bill seemed to be born with the throttles in hands and knows how to control a boat in the heat of the moment. Jim is the McGiver of the crew and can handle anything... except watching Sully fight a fish. Not to mention he builds a pretty good Swordlight. And then there's Sully. I have to say that Sully is responsible for beating the fish down and doing everything right. He stayed calm the entire time and paced himself. Never allowing the fish to rest and when it was time to kick some ass... he delivered. It was true drama as we never got a look at the fish until the end. As we all know, the fish is lost in the first 5 minutes or the last 5 minutes. Everything else in the middle is just a train wreck waiting to happen or like being in the eye of a hurricane. There's not many better feelings than having 4 guys all on the same page at the same time when the Benjamins are down. There were so many good teams out there and many of them had potential winning fish on the line. I've been lucky enough to fish with some good fisherman and even better friends. Thanks to Jim, Bill and especially Sully.... it just happened to be our time to win.... Thanks for allowing me to be a part of it. -Tek Reel Pro Shop |
