Good news from one of our sponsors, each boat entry will be receiving a case of swordfish chum. Good luck and stay tight.

I saw it from I think Baitmasters of South Florida, they call it a needed item for every swordfisherman.

Im not sure how much chum can help you when the baits are anywhere from 20 feet to 400 feet down.

R33 I forget you are new to this. The chum does sink some. The main thing about chumming for swords is that it brings in the bait to your spread. The tinkers squid etc eat the chum then the swords eat them.Watch the Lion king again remember the great circle of life.

Great circle of life ?
Not following you on that one, apparently you just like watching little kids movies on your own

Its okay QQ, we found your secret ... Remember baack about a month ago when I posted I had a great sense of humor. Well in school I can be considered the nut case class clown that all the girls love   hahha

So is this chum like a marketing move similar to the butterfly jig system matched to their rods.... Why not use a fine, regular chum, they both sink. :???:

The only thing that would help that is sand in it, but in that case your getting ripped off because theres sand in it haha

My Dad and I were talking about it when I was looking for the best place to buy 10 dozen bait before the Bimini trip, I saw the sword chum and we wondered about it, after all, it would bring a lot of the baitfishes into the spread.

I love wathcing those movies with my kids.Except the movies were the hunter is a bad guy. Then my daughter and I pull for the hunter.Shoot that deer get that fox trap that mouse

Haha whatever bro, I wonder if the sword chum really helps the bite. I imagine it would bring fish into the spread or the light beneath the boat so if I did it I would certainly have a line just beneath the light

Hey,

I saw the Lion King when it first came out and I was more than plenty to drink beer too.

I almost wheezed my lungs out when I heard that one about the 1 year old part.

I remember chumming for dollars two years back. After a hurricane blew by: we had lots of chum items. Lobster heads, skanky squid, pork chops, sausages, steaks, ballyhoo and lots of other white meat stuff.

All that chumming didn't do a thing, except to get that damn freezer cleaned out. (I suppose the tile fish were happy.) The Q brothers were wondering when I would get sick: rocking and slopping the stuff overboard. Fortunately, I had some Bonine in my brain and did not fall captive to the Mal de Mer, but the thoughts were starting to settle in.

Chumming for swordfish: captains choice. But if they are giving it away for a swordfish game. May as well use it, for all she's worth. If not I have a great Calamari salad recipe. Bada bing.

BTW - I am not secured on a boat yet. I thought so a few weeks back.
No matter what , I wish everyone luck, because no matter where I go, a nice rum based boat drink and good company will be.

We always keep a bag of chum hanging just in case any tinkers show up we leave a sabiki down and hope to grab a few of those.....if not it always brings some interesting things into the hydroglow....

For those that don't beleive that this chum produces, the summer tournament last year was won by the only boat using this chum. With the chum not on the market Killer Buzz proved it was a good product to put into distribution. Good luck to al boats.

Hey Drew:

We used the Swordfish chum in the last tournament as well. The only thing that I failed to do was to read the label: we had the bags of swordfish chum that were labelled for "For small swordfish" .

I believe that chum can help improve your catch. But if you're chumming with chopped squid and you do not bring in the bait fish, I suspect that is where the best value is.

It seems like regular fish chum can also bring in sharks, so if the squid does not have the same effect and only attracts the Tinkers, etc. then that chum is your best bet, unless of course you want to catch sharks.

Haven't seen any sharks at the boat yet using "swordfish" squid chum.
