Default Darkside of the Moon Tourney Results

Great night of fishing for most with just about everyone having a chance at a fish.. some being pups.

We hooked into a nice one and pulled the hooks 10 minutes into the fight

Here are the final results:

1st Place - Rumblefish/Capt. Jim Dodich - 129.5 lbs/69 in. - $8,500
2nd Place - Rebound/Capt. Chip Hunt - 76 lbs/ 56 in. - $5,100
3rd Place - Frick & Frack/Jimmy David - 75 lb./ 56 in. - $3,400

Big Fish Division - Frick & Frack - $12, 300

Broadbill Split Divsion -
1st - Rumblefish - $3,120
2nd - Frick & Frack - $2,080


The Awards Ceremony will be at 4:00 at bonefish macs today.

the tournements a joke, 129 winning? thats the biggest fish caught in the tourney ever. Its just plain sad.

That's not sad. I didn't fish the tournament, but think about it this way. Sure we see a lot of fish over 200, and some over 3 and 400, but in a regular night of swordfishing, a fish over 100 lbs. is a great fish. Some nights are better than others. It just happens to be the way it all works out. That's fishing.

A 129 pound fish is a great fish any night. We got a chance to release a fat little puppy that ate a squid on the 200 far line. He took a little line and then stopped. As I waited for the next move I saw the Electralume coming to the surface. Cranked down on him got tight and brought him boatside. Thats what Swording is all about. I have been out 7 times in a row and got skunked, but I have also been out 7 times in a row and found good fish each time. There is a lot of water out there. Congradulations to Rumblefish and everyone else that finished in the top.
