Jichi won with 3 releases caught on the 2nd night of fishing. Not sure what they won or who took second or third. Sure most had fun fishing the tournament, just slow fishing.

Don't know bout 7-9, but it was a bit bumpy.... That Contender 31T tore it up!
Fun tournament and over all had a great time and met some cool cats.
Friday night we pulled off the one, missed a few rats and got one release. Saturday night was slow for us with us missing one right off the bat then nothing the rest of the night.
Congrats to Capt Ricky and crew one the win

I know this was a nighttime tourney... but did any boats attempt "daytime" tactics where they normally catch 'em?

The tournament was fun. The sharks where thick at 400', and the swords where mixed in there if you stuck it out. The first night we had 9 sharks and and the main line cut on a sword. The second night we had 8 sharks and one sword at 2:30am.
We dropped a line to the bottom the second night and no bite.
It was a nice 4-6 with an occasional 8. it was a long ride home at 30mph.
Everyone got kicked out at 11am for the evacutation and the awards ceremony got canceled due to it also.
Congrats to Jichi, they where 3 for 4 and only one shark the second night.

Thanks. I am sure there were folks fishing off Marathon, out front off Floyds and even north off South Dade. This Tourney offers a lot of options but lots of running. Way to go crew that placed.
