Thanks Nick!! I've never won anything. With 6 months left, I doubt my post will hold out as the dumbest. I'm sure Darren will post something stupid soon enough
I thought it was a little weird that he picked a daytime sword for his poster though ![]() No worries from me, I can't even get away with a little white lie

To tell you the truth my initial thought was that someone could be on the 50 and ready to manual deep drop with an 80W. With lines in at 6pm there's plenty of time to do a few drops and get one, that could be considered DAY TIME.
The other stuff was in response to Purple Fever... |

And as long as it's manual and after 6pm, it's legal.

Exactly! There's still about 2 hours of "daytime" after 6pm. So, drop 'em if ya got 'em.
Two things to think about... 1. Even if you (no one specific) can beat a polygraph, what are the odds that your entire crew can beat it? 2. Do you really want to get caught cheating, and lose the respect of our relatively small community of swordfish anglers? It's not worth it. About the cover art... That's RJ Boyle's contribution to the event, which he does for all of Drew's tournaments. Day scene or night... it's all good.

I think, if a single person fails the poly, then that would be grounds to test a few others on the crew to be sure. Drew institutes the poly as a deterrent, to keep the tournament fair, and certainly wouldn't want a crew to be penalized unjustly if one member freaks and spikes the machine.
This event, and the Winter sequel, have been running for about 7 years now... and as far as I know, there hasn't been any major controversy. That' why it's one of the largest swordfishing tournaments in the world. It's real simple... follow the rules, and there is nothing to worry about.

The last few post are one of the reasons I stopped fishing sword tourneys..... Just the fact that cheating must be discussed in great detail and there has been given thought to "well could you get away with it"
I have fished Drews tourneys in the past and they are top notch no two ways about it
