The bite was pretty hot last nite we boated our first fish at around 7:00.He ate a squid 400' down and came up quick fish was fat 58 inches and 100lbs.We set up our second drift and had our second fish jumping on the surface. He also ate a squid this time the 150'only a few jumps and he shakes the hook. We are about five miles into the drift and the tinkers show up thousands of tinkers. We are not getting any bites so we reset our drift for our last try.Im not sure if it was the rite move but after a few minutes the tip rod goes off again fish on another jumper with the same results looked like a nice fish.We drift another 30 minutes and we are back in the tinkers. Its about 12 and we need to ice the first fish so we bring them in. The deep rod its slashed to pieces the tip rod is slashed too.
The score card this year for me reads 3/7.I HOPE THEY GET BIGGER!!! SAM |

We went 0/1 at 7:30pm. It stayed on the hook for 30 seconds. Alot of slashed baits but no other takers. Tinkers were everywhere, inside and outside. It laid down after 12:00 to a 0-1ft.
 |
