Default 1/1 on 10/4/07 Man-O-War, Haulover Inlet

Made a run at it last night. Got out to the 48 and there were boats deep dropping. Heard one boat with two on the deck. Got the lines in early and maintained the drift untill we hooked up at 9:30. Fought a swordy for 20 minutes and put a 58" on the deck. We had already decided to be one and done if we were fortunate enought to hook up. He ate a squid at 75' w/ a purple light. No photos. Drew a good crowd from my condos as I was cleaning him. Nobody had ever seen a fish that big before.

Default Good job Capt. Shane

Good job Capt. Shane:

The big fish are passing through right now, well at least while it is small craft advisory out there. If you don't have a line in the water, you will certainly not get one.

I suppose you're having fish tonight? Remember the steps mate.

(P.S. - Somebody mentioned one time that small craft advisory applies to all vessels under 100' LOA, I just wonder how the Catch my drift sizes up?)

Sweet job, Shane. I love those nights. Put a line in the water, fish in the boat, and head home happy.

Will on the "Bonnie and clyde" got the 2 on the deck while late day deep dropping. One was 79 and fat and the other was 59 and fat. There is nothing worse than one of your buddy's calling you at 8:30pm and asking if you know where the nearest scale is to weigh a fatty, when you haven't been out fishing for weeks. Ouch.

Congrats Will and I want to see the pics and report. Awesome job.
