SFC 8/12/07 1 for 2

Well it was pretty slow as expected (which explains the hooligans playing around on the radio). We ended up getting a bite on a rod just below the boat. The fish screamed drag for 2 seconds, swam to the boat, and it was released within a minute. Then Nick da spit has a couple hard whacks on the tip but never comes tight. I forgot that I had tags two feet away or else I would have tagged the fish before sending it off.

Then Nick da spit eats a little gog

He spit it out cause he didn't want swordstalker's daughter to see him with that in his mouth. But now the cat is out of the bag.

Hey Risktaker, there's no rum left, but have a beer.

Nice report.

Nick's a little into Nautigirls daughter considering he's only 5 years older.

Default They taste better with little bit of Wasabi on them.

Finalpoint, Oops, I didn't see your fishing report. There is another duplicate forum post but I like this one better because it has the attached pictures.

8/12/07 1 for 2

I did remember to bring the passport, just in case we fish further east, but I will have to remember to bring the Wasabi sauce next time. I didn't realize fresh fish would be served up. Nick C, those little pan fish when eaten Sashimi style do test a lot better with a little bit of Wasabi on them.

Default I liked your floats made from the pool noodles

I'll be better prepared next time after I stock up on some provisions...

List: Wasabi in a tube, cylalume sticks, fresh squids, and more Ron Zacappa Centenarrio rum.

P.S. - I liked your floats made from the pool noodles with the PVC skeleton inside. I think I will make some just like that. They sure beat my "patent pending" thing-a-ma-bobber gadget using the lobster tickle sticks. You should post a picture on the tackle forum section if you would like to share your gizmo ideas.

Default I like the tweaked pool noodle versions.

I like the tweaked pool noodle versions.

Did you tune them for a 2 lb. weight or could they also hold 3 lb. weights if necessary. Although, I generally do not use 3 pounders, (the sea anchor would be first choice for drift speed reduction), but was just curious if you tested them under various loads.

I'm going to try making a few like that too. A few tweaks of my own: try to capture the buoyancy capacity inside the PVC pipe by sealing the tube, and maybe go 6" to a foot taller.
