Do not seal the tube.They will hold 3lbs without any problem.

Like QQ said, sealing the tube they won't stand up. Use thicker pool noodle if needed.

I learned the original version from Turtle and the modified version from Flatsfish and then tweaked them a bit more. I use the small orange acorn bouys (instead of the pool noodle). You can use different size weights by simply adjusting the position of the float on the pvc
