Default 365lb Daytime Sword

We made a drop with weight still on and drifted for about 40min with no luck. Set back up and this time we dropped down and broke the weight off. Drifted for about ten min and got a bite. Fought the fish for about 7hrs before the swordy came to the surface belly up. Fished scaled out at 365lbs. Fish ate a squid on the bottom in about 1700ft. No current in the keys right now so the baits are staying on the bottom with 12oz weights.

Try to get my wife to put the pics on here. I find it hard enough to find each letter on the keyboard.

No doubt we'd have better luck in our area if the current would let us hold bottom like that.

Darn right Buck, out of Ft. Pierce Fri night, Our first drift we were flying along , finally the third drift we settled into about a 3-4 kt drift.

Thanks guys, The angler was 14 y/o and was able to last about 5hr in the harness, then had to put the rod in the holder for awhile. Later into the fight I got in the harness and tried to break the fish off. Was able to get
35lbs drag off the reel and applied hand pressure to the spool for about 2hrs before the fish finally gave it up. Fished the same spot on Sunday and on Friday and never had a bite. Couple of boats caught fish around us but no luck for us.
