Default Key West report 08/04

Ran out last night to the East Crack for a few hours. Went 0 for 2 on swords, pulled hooks. North west drift. Not so good for us down here. Wind came up around 11pm so made it a short night. Had a great deep drop in 850 on the way out and got jumped by a pack of Dolphin. 4 Snowys to 35lbs,4 Rudder fish to 20lbs and a couple of Rosies and a bunch of Dolphin, so the evening was not a total loss. Here is a couple of photos of the catch

With catches like that, who needs to fish swordfish.... That is enough fish to feed a small country....

Excellent catch....

Thanks guys
If any of you get the chance to run down this way the bottom for deep drop leads is red hot right now. Hit it again and dropped in 750. Snowys and Goldies are practically eating the sinker.

I am sure it is for fed waters and state waters ... the SFMA has screwed us rec guy`s by putting limits on golden tiles and snowie grouper one per person ... would have been happy with 2 grouper and 3 tiles !.. regs started on October 22 of 06... there should be some info on the old threads in the deep dropping forum ..Tight lines ... Willi
