Default 7/7/07 hillsboro 1/2

Saturday night started out ruff but got better . First half of my crew though it was going to get ruff soo they cancled . I knew it is wasnt so i decided to go with a 2 person ( including me ) crew wich the last time i did that , it didnt work . got out there and i remeber that i didnt really have alot of gas. So we just set up at the 52 and started drifting out . After and an hour of nothing and me staring at the rods i look at the shortest bait and saw the rod snap up .

So i went over to the rod and let the sword bill the bait and eat it but when i brought yup the bait he had billed it so that the hook went up and just caught the line. so at about 11:00 i finally give up and take off the harness but as soon as i did i heard click click click then zzzzzzzzzzzz . ( like music to my ears ) then my dad gets tight so im like yes my night is starting to get better . then my other rod starts pelling drag . so i get tight on this rod then notice that my rod and my dads were tangled so i got the tangle out but while i was doing that i could feel the fish shaking its head and i could hear my dad telling me he thinks the fish got away but i ould still feel him . When i finally got the tangle out we brought up the lines and it ended up to b a nice 60 in fish . and thats my story of how my night went from good to bad >

As you learned, never put on a belt or harness until your hooked up. It is bad luck. Do you put on a condom before you leave for the bar or when you get her home? Nice work on your fish.

That was hilarious.
If I have a new angler I would prefer they be set up in the harness. In general, it is a good idea. I just never do it. Sometimes I wait an entire night for a bite (or no bite) so we'll figure it out when the time comes, usually.

Wink Safety First

I prefer to harness up the new angler before we leave the dock, but I won't even touch em without the condom
