Broadbill report 7/02/07

Very nice night last night sweet ride out and even a better ride in left about the dock at 5 and headed down south way down south hit a reef and jiged a couple of live baits and we were on our way got to our spot and set our spred a little while goes by and we a huge storm coming off shore and start thinking of heading north in sted of getting soaked i say lets ride it out a little bit and let's see what happends 10 minutes later the tip rod gets nailed i'm the only one who see's it and yell to my buddy to get it he jumps on it straight on it the drag starts going and bam it stops i feel the line and theirs way to much tension i tell him to crank tight fast and bam we are tight fish feels nice and heavy but is not putting up the fight he should fish pulls a little drag and about 10 minutes later he's on top doing circles around the boat get into range and i stick him with gaff and this fish goes crazy i mean crazy almost rips my arm out of the sockit slaming into the boat so hard i was waiting for a bill to come through finally my friend drops the rod and grabs the other gaff and i swing the fish out from underneath head first and tell him to stick him first shot brain shot dead in the water come to find out he was never hooked he got tangled in the leter weighed him in at light house point marina it was a 110 pounds had a great night with buds and a very sore shoulder today but very worth it their bitting pretty good guy's get out their and get your lines wet.....
