Default Jupiter Swordin 7/1/07

Got out the inlet around 7:30 with Capt.Tater, Obsession, ALW, and Mark (I dunno your Forum name). Forget the battery so stop by my house real quick. Ran out there and started setting up the spread.

Adam puts the first jug out and I start to get the second one ready. Set it in the holder and look back to see the long jug bent over!!! FISH ON!!! Get Chris (Obsession) harnessed up and on his first fish. After clearing one line :king: Thanks Mark (usually we have to clear 5 lines) :roflmao: and some Capt.Tater boat maneuvering we get the fish boat side. I grab the bill and we decide she is legal. Tapes out at 50 inches and fat(especially around the tail).

Adam without the pointy end :eek3: :eek3:

Drift till 12:30 and pull the lines and head on home. Almost had another boat take our long jug on the way in, looked like a small center console without a top. Yea, that's how close they were :cuss:

Overall it was a fun quick night. The fish ate at the moon rise and several other boats hooked up at the same time as us.

The underside of the bill looked very red, haven't seen that before

Thanks a lot Keith

Nice work.

We've had two fish with the red coloring to the underside of the bill -- they were both pumpkins.

I don't think so? I've never got a pumpkin yet, but the meat wasn't orange. It did look pale orange though, but that could of been the blood and lighting.

Thanks guys.

There were a couple squids in the stomach, but this is what took up most of the room. Is it an air bladder? We stuck it with a knife thinking it was the stomach and it just popped and nothing in it.

Caught one with a red bill like that! It was really easy to finish for the house!

Nice night!
