Default Red hot bite in the day

Down here in the keys the sword bite during the day is on fire. Boats from Key Largo to Marathon are catching 1 to 6 fish a day. One boat caught 8 two days ago. You guys up the road should really try it. Boats are lined up 30 - 33 miles offshore fishing, looks like winter time in the keys with boats lined up fishing sailfish.

That's killer! I am going to be in the upper Keys the week before the regular season (lobster) and I will definitely try daytime drops for broads off Todd's or Floyd's. I will be right between them in Tavernier.

Any pix of these daytimers?

Daytripper,

I fish out of Marathon and have had success at night. I have not tried during the day yet. Although, I have heard all the stories of that "secret spot" and dropping down to the bottom. Shoot me a PM, I liked to touch base with fellow marathon anglers.

Default Gonna be in the area in late July, early August

I am stoked about swording in the Middle Keys. I am renting on Long Key the week of July 30 and will try my hand at day and night swording. I plan to fish the 300-Fathom Breaks.

I am also going to do a little deep jigging on the shallower humps for grouper and muttons and will also run to some of the Gulf side wrecks northwest of Sprigger Bank for permit. I may also float some crabs in Channels 5 and 2. I am gonna do it all!

I am trying to get my daughter tangled with something nice (nearer to shore as she's only 6).

I will report back on my success.

High tides and times!

J

So who is in for an exploratory trip. Troll out and then fish or go a few hours early and set up for a couple of drifts out of dade/broward...DUKE
