Monday night

Headed out last night. We found some nice patches of weed about 4 1/2 miles out. It was alive with bait so I threw out the sabiki and as I'm pulling some out of the water, a school of fins come and attack so we through some chunks out and nailed some fins 4-5#. Got to the spot and set up. About 9:15 the middle jug starts screamin, locked her up, set and started reelin. About 20 mins later, a nice 56" hits the deck. Fished for another 2 hours without a sniff so we packed it in and headed for the barn. There were probably about 15 boats out there and the radio was pretty quiet. Note.....On the way out, right on the 50, we nearly ran through a set of buoys.....they're not to noticeable in the light!!!!

we went 1-3 kept a 61" fish had a toothy critter bite off our leader. also caught a dozen or so fins in the 5-7 lb range, they were hangin on a tree.
