Default 6/4 report

RT and I set out of Boca in a very sloppy 3 ft sea. Headed down to the 04 to check our drift.......NE @13deg @ 5knts, fast! Set up on the inside deployed the sea anchor and set a nice spread at sundown.

An hour later, RT was fooling around with an old twisted spinner with a butterfly jig attached. He was trying to get the twist out and was puzzeled that the jig was not going down when all of a sudden a 10lb dolphin leaps in the air 3 ft from the boat with the jig in the mouth. Scares the sh&t out of both of us.

We called it at around 11 at the 47.5. Not that many boats. we did hear of 2 or 3 fish in the 100lb range boated around the 50 and 10.

Great work. At least you got out there. I don't think I remember how to set up a spread.

Good comedy is when you're Dad finally decides to take a rest on the cooler in the back. You then go up to the bow and hold the spool on the tip rod, put the 50W in free-spool and let er rip.

He'll jump up trying to get to his feet almost breaking chit along the way.

JR., cruelty in one mans eyes is comedy to anothers. someone's signature used to read "its all fun and games till someone loses an eye." Personally I like that chit.

Default It's even funnier when the fish simply jump in the boat.

Here's another one for good comedy.... We're motoring upriver in the El Rio Grande (Bolivia) last week in a 20' long Jon boat. Pablo cuts the boat away from the deep part along a few of the shallow banks of the swiftly moving river and Savalo (fish) are jumping everywhere as we mush through. Some of which are jumping in the boat as we go. That's fishing, Sur American inland style.

We also used hook and line to catch fish too, Just not as exciting as the fish jumping in.

I prefer the "well la-de-frickin-da". And thanks for being so up front with your old habits. Well I'm not sure how old they were.

You're right. I'd like to apologize to Cogzwell and the forum viewers for my de-railing of this thread.
