Hooked Up
|
May 4th
Left the dock around 6pm and headed out Palm Beach Inlet ![]() Got set up on the 43 line and started drifting before sunset. After sunset we had a flying fish fly into the boat. ![]() Had a fast drift at 4mph. Waited till 10:18 for the moon rise. About 30 minutes later we finally get a bite on the long jug rod at 125ft on the purple light. About 20 minutes later we have a nice fish boatside. Stick a tag in him and let him go. Guess probably 53 inch fish. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Set back up and continued drifting. Had two Dolphin come up to the boat, but they left before we could toss a small jig out. Reel up two slashed baits and see one fish so we know they are in the area. Soon after the long jug at 125ft goes off again. We get hooked up and put my friends brother back into the harness. Another 20 minutes and the fish is boatside and released with another tag. Around the same size at 53 inches, all were legal fish. ![]() ![]() ![]() All in all it was a really fun night with some good action out there. I knew the fish would be biting good for my birthday on May 5th. May 5th. We went 0-0 tonight with two slashed baits. Did have a fish swim into the light which was very cool. Those fish swim so goofy

Great night with a great report.I do have 1 question. Why remove that tagged fish from the water jut for the pic?It is so much better to just leave them in the water.Keep up the great work and great report pics.
