About that. I've been under the impression that the bigger fish lay more eggs than the smaller fish. Wouldn't killing the smaller fish be better than a larger fish? Well I guess if that happened then there wouldn't be any smaller fish to grow to bigger ones. Sorry just thinking.

I probably would of released the fish anyways although we were really hungry. I'm glad that we at least got the release on it. Finally caught a fish after five trips since New Years. Can't wait to test the new POON Harpoon, but someone didn't let me bring it

PJ, I agree, but releasing a 60" fish is tough because they fight so dam hard and long they they fight to the death. Heck, most pups I catch and release are mud darts... even when i don't take them out of the water. But if I get a good fish up and I have meat in the boat and that fish still has life, you can bet I'll try my best to release it!

My hat is off to you for your thinking about conserving this one for a bigger more powerful catch in the future!!!
