We went 2 for 2 last night, releasing both. We also had 2 slashed baits. Bites were at 150 and 225 feet on squid. We pulled our lines at 9:30 and headed in. We had Nick C on the boat with us last night and it was nice to have him onboard. Despite what Quack Quack and Flatfish B say about him, I thought he was a really great guy. Nick, we'll have to do it again soon!

We went 2-5. Caught a 50'' and a 46'' (released, of course). Hookups were 2 @ boat, 1 @ 100ft, 2 @ 300ft. Disco on the surface and blue LP deep. Our last hookup was a real nice fish that looked 200lb+ as it swam through the light before it ate our squid. Too bad he came unglued after 20 minutes.

Thumbs up Fun Night

Sounds Like a fun night. Wish I could have made it, but am glad I went to the NMFS hearing. I learned alot, as well as realizing I have alot more to learn about the politics of ICCAT, NMFS, and the big comm interests. Was overwhelmed w/ information and have alot of reading to do. What were the seas like last night?

SWEEEET! Is there anyone who didnt hook up last night? I've got a slight steering problem with my boat so cant go swording...but did fish the Mayors cup over the weekend. Finished 3rd overall and were tied for first with 1 hr. left. The top boat was Wound Up. I guess they are the new sailfishing studs on the block. Unreal how one crew can win so often against so many good teams. Who's gonna step up and win a triple crown of swording tourneys?

What boat did ya fish? I know what ya mean about one crew winning so often. We fished day one with the L&H in view the whole time and only pulled out two when they had 7. But to be the best ya gotta beat the best. And that's only a matter of time. tightlines

The 1st team to win three big sword tournies in a row I will respect forever.

It's a lot of luck, IMO.
