Wow...looks like the final report for a little while with this wind comming! What a beautiful last few nights on the water...2nd night in a row where the boat was pretty much sitting still the entire night! Last night was no different with swordfish action. Unfortunately I had a charter cancel last minute and with the great weather I couldn't pass up the opportunity to fish with a few good friends. The action was right where we left it the night before and at 6:45 the long balloon tips over and we are tight. Fish came to the boat pretty quickly, thinking it was gonna be a pup i had gloves on and was ready to do a release. Well a fat 60" fish popped out from under the boat, I dove for the gaff and sunk it in on a very "green" and pissed off sword! Into the boat she came and unfortunately proceeded to tear up the pit pretty bad! In the midst of all this another sword grabbed the 2nd logest balloon and went to the air before anyone could get tight and threw the hook. While cranking that one in 2 more followed the light up but wouldn't eat anything and were gone in an instant. After the smoke cleared and the spread was back out we got a nice tip rod bite and shortly after released a keeper probably right around 48-50". We had one more hit on the tip rod and we called it a night at 9 successfully catching 2 fish!
See you guys out there on when the weather clears... ![]() ![]() Capt Justin Nighan "Liquid Gold" Charters Miami Charter Fishing |

What a great trip. You get to fish with your buds and tighten up a few fish. The pit doesn't look too messy to me, heck you could eat off it. Good captain always has a clean boat in the photos, pride in your boat, pride in your catch, nice work.
