SFC 01/16/07 Cookie Monster Got Him?

2 for 3, Released one. Back to Boca Inlet by 9. Looks like the Cookie Cutter Shark took a bite.

intersting.. there was an article in the sport fishign magazine about those cookie cutters....Ive never seen an actual picture though....

might be a giant squid bite When I fished in the gulf half the a third of the tuna we got had the cookie cutter bite.

I believe the Cookie Cutters' bite is round and not so oval shaped.

yep, the cookie cutter bite is perfectly round. i wrote the question to sport fishing 'fish facts' this month. this is the fish we released with a bite..

There are several species of Lamprey but they all breed and are born in fresh water but they do migrate to saltwater where they become parasitic.

Wikipedia has a decent article on them.
