Default Friday Report Jan 5 2007

Just got a call from the Cap of Catch My Drift 2-5 last night releasing one pup, and landing a 77 inch fish with a 51 inch girth and it was all pumpkin 40 minute fight and stuck it with the New poon will post the picutres on Monday when I get them. Thought pumpkin season was October that is three pumpkin's I have heard of caught this past week hopefully we will get ours tonight and break in my poon, all hits were at 200-300 feet

hey,
77in. short length,121in, overall 45in.girth. 40 min fight. one harpoon 4 gaffs to get it over the rail. old single speed 80 wide penn reel 5-6stand up rod,aftco harness braid plate. 10/0 hooked squid ,blue/green light, 30ft leader,3pound lead 60ft from snapswivel. i was on the last spot on stern.fish took me to bow and back.on a head boat you know what a pain that could be.thanks to the crew and a BIG thank you to the to the other fisherman for clearing the rails of rods lines,ect.and getting her in the boat. the mate josh landed a great shot with the poon right behind the head all the way through.

Farley great job should have went, bite was nil for us tonight couple slashed baits and one shark but a great time with old and new freinds

VD06 I do not know who is saying these guys stay inside but it is not true at all maybe you all are digging for locations but they just set up and drift like the rest of us on the 50

Farley, nice job man. Thats one beautiful fish, looks very fat from the "aerial" shot. I'm gonna try to make it there friday. Congrats and see you then.
By the way, the catch my drift usually stays inside of the 52, sometimes the 54, Dan is just trying to throw you guys off.

I know you know who that is but some are more fortunate than us and do not know who that is when I got the call at 7:30am Saturday the wife was a bit at him for calling so early, you could hear the smile through the phone while he was telling me the tale of that darkside adventure
