Default simple - line to line looped connection, that's all.

Letsride:

No, no extra chafing stuff necessary, keep it thin. It should not fail, as-is,ever: well you should change it within a few years. A Bimini Twist in Mono. will be the thickess roller guides bumps.

Either a spectra created loop (6 in. minimum loop) on the mainline connected to the wind-on loop.

Or a Bimini Twist (6 in. minimum loop) made from mainline monofilament to the loop of Wind-on (suggest going for a spectra made loop and finger trap to wind-on mono) Standard wind-on in the spectra catagory.

Watch out on Floyd's wall, he comes a man on a mission!

Yeah Letsride.... good luck . RT

I do the uni to uni but only as far as Sailfish goes, don't know if I would trust it on anything heavier. Maybe someone else can experiment. Any Takers, risk boy.

Default Hey... hey, hey, I resemble that remark.

Hannaman:

Nope not me. Risk boy? Sounds like some kind of action adventure hero.... I am happy with an advanced plain Jane conforming into a loop-to-loop without any plastic chafe-coats.

Maybe someday I may go to straight hollow core then finger trap a 100. ft . wind-on mono, with a touch of "serving" and some glue.

RiskBoy Ovr-n-out.

I like the Jerry Brown spectra best. Many fine strands make it soft and pliable. It can be found at http://www.jerry-brown-industries.com/
For the best leaders and topshots go to Basil Pappas. www.bhptackle.com
I agree with Capt Bouncer. One loop in a spectra to spectra connection is fine. Never had a failure. I like to change my line size to get bit.
Uni to uni is a good knot... I'll only use it for mono to mono in freshwater or surf.
If I am using solid spectra, I tie a good solid bimini.
Jus my 2 cents. Your mileage may vary...
