They were heading NE from the Port, and directly at us for about 15 minutes. Then veered off about a mile before passing. We were watching carefully, ready to hit the throttles and drag lines. No worries. And the wake wasn't that bad either.

Naw the funniest part was watching Butch flying through the air toward the old people and Swiss.

Now that was good comedy.

Especially when deep diving for my fire extinguisher.

Of course now I have to get a new bracket for it.

I would take an 80W in trade though

Default I suck @ salvage ops.

Dammit this 80 is gonna haunt me forever. Called a buddy in salvage, he said as soon as they abandoned the boat we could of towed her in and cintacted the ins. company. Too bad we didn't have the scuba gear on board I could of made it to the fires source. Then maybe we might of had a new 80. If it were a tiagra I would of gone back

I am serious about the scuba gear for some underwater pics.

Hey it's no crazier than swimming toward a burning boat.

think that is why the Captain did not want to get off the boat if you did not want it I would have happily taken the Penn 80W

Yes but there was no chum or a hooked Sword swimming around the boat either.

would love to see you do it but we would have to have a crap load of Sword lights so you could see everything coming in every direction, and if something did happen I would not want to explain that to the wife

He did what yes he jumped out of a perfectly good boat in the middle of the night while we were fighting a Swordfish and was harpoon by the fish

I'm with ya. Think it can be done without the gear but either way you know I'll swim w/ the fishes. I actually felt safest last night during the ordeal when I was in the h2o. Would of happily donated that 80 to Punkanoodle. One thing I noticed though guys is that nobody volunteered to go back for the rod. Seriously couldn't have been in better company for an em situation. You guys were the ch!t, no matter how much ribbin I get

Work, work, and more work. This is the first downtime I have had in a while. I still read the forum everyday... was at mm 80.5 for the Christmas/new years holiday's snapper fishing and rum, not necessarily in that order. now I'm playing catch-up at work again. Was thinking about going tonight and still cant muster it. maybe this weekend (sat). keep in touch, i see fishalways is in the shop for some r-n-r maybe we could do some corona's and swords..
