Red Food Coloring. I usually soak 3 squid in a bucket filled with a bit of saltwater and red dye. I get the red dye from publix.

Go get em!

Default I concur, it seems like outside was most busy.

Capt. Mitch:

Yes, I concur with that. Our action was on the outside of the South grounds (East of Miami) , starting at 1400+ with action. After drifting inside, no more action, plus all the boats were now East of us as well.

But no moaning here, we took one home and had some delicious steaks on the grill (boatside Sunday afternoon.) Man, am I becoming more popular with my friends these days! They are even starting to think that I am a seasoned swordfisherman. (Imagine that) But I imagine if I keep them supplied with a healthy diet of nicely seasoned fresh swordfish steaks, they are liable to say anything nice. That's OK with me, as long as there is no bull. RT

We went 2 for 2 last night. One keeper and one pup. the keeper was landed at 26.07N 48.8. The small guy (wow, i'm actualy calling a 40 pound fish small) was caught and released unharmed on the inside just south of the lighthouse.

Default Is that your second keeper for this weekend?

Cogzwell:

I thought you reported success from your Friday trip. Did you wind up keeping 2 fish this weekend?

Forget about a bigger boat for you: you'e going to need a biger deep-freezer.

Are you getting into the habit of reporting your fish? RT

one of those makos fractured a mates skull this weekend.
i know the person personaly and have fished woith more than a few times, he is no rookie so it can happen to the best of us,

story goes, they threw a fixed harpoon in a free swiming mako that was harasing a sword next to the poat. harpoon hits, mako jumps, harpoon but smakes him in the head. result fractured skull..........

have fun, but be safe with them makos....
