Default Sword Report - 11/10 3 for 4, LATE Bite

Headed out of Boca with Darren, Eric and new buddy of mine, Robert at 4:30 PM and ran to H1 bouy and picked up a handful of runners. Long ride to S of PE and set up S of Hollywood Hills area just outside of the 50-line traffic jam. About an hour later and short float start moving right while everything else going left. Eric got tight and handed me the rod. Short while later 3 cherries popped - first sword on the boat, first sword on new TLD50/Crowder setup and second fish but first fish for me harness/stand up. Somewhere between a pup and legal, so we let him go to fight another day. Camera malfunction, so no photo. Move and reset once and long drift of nothing - way past moonrise and radio jerks went home. Most on boat were dozing when mid-float reel starts screaming at 2:30AM - nothing like a screaming drag to wake you up - get Robert harnessed for a 10 minute fight. Nice 56" fish boatside, at the swivel, Eric leadering him in and just like that, hook pulls. Dang – harpoon is my next purchase – wish we had one. Stunned silence. We'll take credit for a Palm Beach landing on that. Its late – should we stay, should we go. A little south of Boca and we decide to reset. Darren gets tight on the tip rod almost immediately and pulls in a nice one but a little short. Totally lassoed in line but no hook in fish.

Short revival and off he swims. One more hit/miss and we head in around 4:00AM. Squids got hit. Runners weren't touched. Ruined Darren's "big fish" rep but had a great night. Thanks guys.
