Default Swording 10/13

We set out on our first sword voyage.

Cleared Port Canaveral at 1800hrs. and headed SE for 63nm. We got there around 2000hrs. and set up.

Then at around 2300 we had to move due to a ship coming through. We repostion and start getting baits down when while setting the fourth the third one is acting funny. FISH ON at 2330. At 0000 we boat a nice 54" sword! Our first ever!

Came on a blue light stick and flashing light at about 300'.

We reset baits hoping for another but no more bites

We pulled lines and headed in around 0530 to be met by the cold front & 20kt. North wind about an hour later catching us in the stream

Took us 4 1/2hrs. to get home.

Thanks to the whole crew. Christopher's brother (Ryan 13 years old) handled the boat, friend Mark was on the rod, Christopher and me dragging it in the boat.

Getting ready to light the grill!
