Pretty crappy ride out last night, good thing there was some fish around. We went 6 for 9, of which only three were keepers. All the fish were LOADED to the gills with squid, and big ones too. .......No wonder we had to rebait most of the entire set twice. All fish hit between 200 and 300 feet, on every color light and color squid in my spread. We didn't go as far south as I would have liked because we were running late as it was, and didn't get everything in the water till 9:30. Paid the price at the end of the night as we ended up on the 26.18. Not wanting to make an hours run back to the south just to reset out front of Glades we decided to call it a night at 2:30 and left the grounds with the fish still snapping. At least it had laid down a little by then and the ride back wasn't too bad.

Beware using the squid jig......My buddy was using one for the first time last night, on a little spinner spooled with 30# P-pro. Drops it down almost the whole spool. Jigs it up and down a couple of times and says I feel something. Starts reeling it up and all of a sudden WHACK. Most defininitely got hit by a sword, but thankfully didn't connect. Got the jig to the surface and it was completely bent in half. May have come across a new way to fish for Mr. Bladenose.
![]() I started my drift on the 25.58. Set from the 49 to the 51.

FYI... Ray's Tackle in Boca is now carrying a few different squid jigs. They just got this batch in about a week ago.
