All i have to say is, I think the bite's on. Went out yesterday set the drift around 7:45pm and from there it was on. Hits and slashed bait's all night. (Rigged squids, black hooks) Water couldn't be any better nicer and calm and when the moon was about half rising all hell broke lose, radios where on fire. At around 1:00am pulled the plug and headed in. On our end was a lot of pulled hooks and a couple of pups. No keepers, heard a couple of guys on nice fish. One or two sharks reported . Tip rod was out of control all night set at 300, and the others floaters at 100ft and 200ft. LP lights that where hit were all of them, green, green blue, red, disco, you name it and it was hit. Of course what perfect timing for a hydroglow to brake on a night like this. (1st break in two years) Bite's on guys.

We had a good night 3 bites one hook up 51 or 52 in the boat. The radio malfunctioned and the handheld is short range so did not hear all the talk to the south.Nick C got a fat 54in and missed a big fish.Bruce on Kiki's ring got his first releasing a pup.All in all a very nice night on the rip.I hope the conditions are the same for the Swordlords.

We finished 1 for 2, releasing a pup around 11:30. Other hookup was about 25 minutes later. We also had 5-6 slashed baits between 11:30 and 1:00. Radio seemed quiet to me. Heard a lot of small fish being released, but did hear of a 150 pounder early and a 52 incher around 1:00.

I let my sons take out our boat without me last night... My oldest just got his captains license and is pretty competent now..
Anyways, they went 2 for 5 and used just about all 12 squid I set them out iwth... Brought one home about 51 inches. This is going to be some tournament tomorrow night. ST |

I took a very good customer out Swording again last night. We had 2 short hook ups, one on a natural squid bait 250' and one on an artificial 150'. Both resulted in pulled hooks almost immediately. Setup for one last drift and hooked up solid on the natural squid 250' rod . 2+ hours later we slapped her on the deck. Nice FAT 70" fish.
Worst was we got back to the slip at dawn and it was a full moon low tide. We had to get help lifting this fish up onto the dock. Capt. Jim The BEAST |

we were out there last night also. went 2 for 4. Released 2 small fish and had one almost spool us on a 50 wide. Stopped him and was tight for about 2 minutes before we felt the fish turn and hook pull.
4th time we got tight was another small fish and the hooks pulled. See ya at the swordlords |

Pachi7tre is my brother, and I was with him in the boat. What he meant by the "radios on fire" was the bite, the radios where on "fire" for just a few minutes there when the bite appeared to turn on for everyone.
Guys, regardless, the bite was definitely hot. However, the fish are small! We had alot of clicking on the tip rod but many times the fish would just not hook up. It happened 5 times on 5 different resets. At one point, the fish clicked the rod for almost what appeared to be 10 minutes without a hook up. Go with the SMALLER BAITS!
