Friday 8/4 Report

Nice night, almost too calm. We only had one hit it was a 47" fish (hit a squid on the 300"), we tagged it and turned it loose. There was talk on the radio about some nice fish caught. Did anyone here have any luck?

Not me! We were 0/1 on the artificials and the second drift was 0/0 with 2 arties and 2 dead squid. Had a small shark in the light and he must've swam into my tip line and Bam, tip jumps and dumps 350' of PP, lead, green light and rig. CRAP!

Sails Meeting (?) was outside me and went 3/3. One tiny pup (15#) was on an artificial, one pup (35#) on a live tinker and one 66" on a dead tinker.

That was it from us down south.

We went 0/3 on a head boat, i did hear about a 72 inch fish being boated pretty early though....
