Default Swordfishing PSAT Tagging on Friday (7/14)

The SAIL club is going to try and deploy PSAT tags Friday, July 14th. The PumpkinEater will be the designated Tag Boat and we would like to invite anyone who wants to participate. Starting at sundown the boat will be approximately on the 50/50 depending on the drift. If you think you have a good fish on and you want to pass it off for tagging purposes call over the radio on CH 72.

If you have any questions call me on my cell 954-562-0051.

Thanks and good luck!

Did you just get in from a sword trip ?

I did indeed just get in from a trip when i posted.

We went 0-1 on a small sword, and 1 shark bite.

Its been really slow for everyone the past couple of weeks.

Ill be out tonight and sunday night. Give me a shout, "NightProwler" on 72!

Good luck Joe and all.

I hope that tag gets sunk into a healthy 50 incher that will grow up big and strong.

Steve,

If you would coordinate with the swordfish club a little on this item, I'm sure we could get the members to pass on a fish or two.

A little cooperation could go a long way.

We have had members out on other nights when you are trying but we had no idea you were trying to deploy one of those tags.

Call me or RJ and we will coordinate in the future.

Good luck

Ron

We went 0-1 on swords and caught a 100 +lb big eye thresher shark that took up a good hour. We released her and went in at 10:30. Saw 1 other boat out there and no other chatter on the radio. We were fishing really far south. Ill be back out sunday.

We went 0/1 last night and fished from the 48 and the 50, only one hook up. Pulled the hooks shortly after. We fished all the way to the 51 and the 09, didn't hear of anyone boating a fish. It was pretty $hitty and not an ideal night to pass on a fish even if there was one to pass off. We called it a night around 2a.m. The ride in was much better than the ride out. Sort of felt like winter w/out the cold.

Looking forward to continuing our efforts and the SAIL club will keep you posted.

Hopefully the conditions and the bite gets better so our chances increase, but we're definately not lacking in determination!

As always, if anyone has any questions you can call my cell # posted on this thread.

Thanks.
