2 ft or less :?: :?: :?: Smothed out late

Anyway 0/2 on the 51 just a couple slashed baits with a bit of line pulled out no hook ups. No chatter on the radio.

catching What kind of drift did you have last night? How fast and did you see any bait?

Default Slow Fishing

I was down from MA last weekend and it was slow too. 2 nights, 1 for 3 and it was a pup. Got cut off by a couple with fangs too.

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on? The current was running
our drift at 30-35 degrees, and somewhat cool in temp.

Sorry fpr the late reply needed to get some sleep, slow drift, no bait, very few of the little green things you see lighting up on the side of the boat when a wave smacked the side usually that is all over. Both hits were on the tip rods at 50-100 ft others baits came in untouched in perfect condition after five hours of soaking.

I guess that is why it is called fishing. Just about out of sword meat  need to get one soon to restock.

Might go out Monday night for some bottom fishing with the kids since the bite is so slow right now. Might throw a shark bait out just to feel something big on the end of a rod

Thanks for the info. Just how slow was the drift? Was it under 2kts?

QQ......I was out Deep Dropping with the Dreel this morning, current was ripping where we got that Tile. Made 5 or 6 drops caught some monster Rosies and a school of nice dolphin swam up to the boat, but we had no other rods. Call me on the Radio tonight.....Ill be out with General Turtle(Chris) and a few others.

Cool glad to see the current pick up again! What boat will you be on tonight? Come on Johnny you do not go out the inlet this time of year without a couple pitch rods you know better
