Dude......I will give you some advice that I have learned. If you can, keep your pics off the internet. Whether its this site or the other site, there are alot of people that just want to make some stupid comments about how many fish they think you should keep, what size fish they think you should keep and so on. If you have pics they make comments, if you dont they dont believe you because you dont have pics. You dont have to defend yourself, your catching fish and most of these people arent........it is there loss not yours as your reports could only help them. I saw your pics and laughed as I read the posts........the eyes are hazy, the fish looks small, the fish looks dead, ect.......these posts are ignorant and made by ignorant people. Anybody that doesnt think that is a 60+" fish, must not have caught a 60" fish. It is a shame that one cant share their pics with the rest, but it is the absolute truth. There is no inbetween, my first post on this site was of similar nature to yours and I didnt post that pic either. If those fish were dead, so what, gut em, hang em over the side and wait for the monster

Take the internet for what it is.....like Risk Taker said.......there is alot of good info on here and on FS forum whether it is direct or indirect. Use the internet for research and it is a great tool, use the internet to show off your catch and you will kick yourself every time.

Nice catch btw

Johnny

If you killed a short fish the worlds not going to end. It will make NO difference in the big picture of swordfish populations either despite what some of these internet warriors will say. I've killed a few pups from foul hooking them. I've taken out anglers who had to use their ultra light gear and played them to death. Anyone who cathes swordfish has killed a short at some time or another. I'd much rather see you kill a rat than a big breeder like the 600lb swordfishfish those dildos killed, wasted the meat for pics and a mount a while back. That fish in your pics looks like a legal fish to me. 47" looks a lot smaller than that. Commercial guys can kill fish under 47 anyway so cry to NOAA about them... They do the REAL damage. Eat what you kill and always do your best to follow the regs. Someone will slay a 3,4,or 500lber and everyone is, atta boy, and hi fives which is doing a lot more damage to the swordfish population. Ignorance it's always entertaining...

whatever Ed. when it becomes ok for eveyone to kill a pup for a picture, then we should be banished from the nursery like the LLs.

Whatever is right,CAPTAIN Ed. . It seems every time you post on here it's to bash one person or another. It was quite nice when you stopped posting on here for a while. That fish was too big, that fish too small.Take your trolling somewhere else. You can't express yourself without using vulgar terms or calling names. It is my experience that when someone has to resort to that, they lack either lack the communication skills to debate in an intelligent manner,or they are just plain unintelligent. Now,I'm certain you will come back and trash me with the usual vitriol;I really don't care.I most certainly won't be able to answer, there are no computers where I will be for the next month.Somehow,I get the impression that if you spent more time actually out on the water and less time taking potshots at people behind the safety of a computer, you might just get it.I apologize in advance if I offend anyone other than "Captain" Ed,and wish the best of luck that everyone might get a shot a large breeder fish;and if you have the audacity to kill it ,that the "peanut gallery" as RT so eloquently puts it doesn't see fit to bash you.
Tight lines and bloody decks,
Tim (capt. of the dildos :badgrin

=D> =D> =D> =D> :roflmao:

Klink, That's classic!

Have a great time on your trip. Once in a lifetime experience. Take lots of pictures.

I remember when "Captain" meant something.
I wonder is he uses words like that around his children. Are kids still allowed to read this forum!

DAMN I love this forum because it was full of experienced, knowledgable fisherman, THAT TALKED ABOUT FISHING.

PLEASE DON'T make this forum like the FS Forum that is full of whiners that rarely think of anything constructive to say about fishing. (no offense, but its true)

Nobody should criticize another for catching a fish, because we ALL have been greedy on a few ocasions, and taken more fish than we needed.

Lets keep this forum professional, and constructive.

Oh I almost forgot, Nice catch fishdread, and welcome to the forum, that is if you havnt been scared off yet.
