Default Teaser Thursday night report

SKUNK ! Seas were calling less then 2 was actually 2-4 then 3-5 (washing machine) then laid down late. Fished 48 then in to 50.5 with ZERO hits. Lines in 8 pm gave up at 2am . Half moon , west wall at 10 miles , wind from SE, drift 3.5-4 knots . Couldnt but a bite. Musta been a swordfish holliday. Randy

Default At least you were there to try.

Thanks for the report Randy. Sometimes news of catching nothing is better than no report at all. Did you find any Tinkers?

Your right on the nose RT , Not a single tinker anywhere . How'd you guess that ? Only thing i saw was a monster shark sniffin around the boat and a porpoise came up + blew 5 ft from the boat and spooked me. I was alone , just jumped in the boat + went.
I guess those leftover Kentuck Fried chicken wings for bait didnt work so well after all !
OOPS , let my secret bait slip out! Seriously was using squid. Heard only one fish caught on radio 70" all night hope there were more but see no posts here. First time i ever didnt get hit at all. Oh well better then sittin home . Randy

Default No Tinkers

Randy, I wasn't guessing that about Tinkers, just asking. Good info to include, if you are doing the effort to make a report.

It's good to keep tabs on where the tinkers are. At least if you don't catch a swordfish you can Sabiki a few tinkers and Fry them up the next day. At least you don't get skunked. Maybe even whip up a flying fish cutter.

RT thought you might have been out there. I reported , wind direction, distance to the West wall of the stream , where i was , what i was using for bait , what time i went out and came in , how fast the drift was , what i heard on the radio , what critters i saw (shark, porpoise) and the moon phase . Sorry i didnt mention I didnt see any tinkers
Im thinkin flyin fish stew with a stuffed ballyhoo side and some raw squid + vanilla icecream for desert . YUM ! Seriously , I still got 20-30 lbs sword steaks, 20-30 lobster and a few pounds of Dolphin filets in the freezer. But those Tinkers are enticing me ! Yum , Im grateful for any info i can get on this forum and I take it into consideration before i plan my sword trip and thank you in advance for any free info anyone shares . Know , It's appreciated. . Randy
