Default I got that skunk off

I've been trying to catch a sword for about two years in the gulf out of Venice, with no luck. My wife and I were on Vacation in Destin when the dealer brought us our new boat, ( WE lost our last boat to Katrina) so we thought what the hell well give it a try. Headed out about 65 miles in 3-4 footers. We put our first line in the water about 7:20pm. while I was rigging the sinker on the second line I saw the balloon from the first line float by the boat. I was about to reel in and put on another balloon when the fish took off, about fifteen min. later galfed a 54"er. Put two lines Back out and about 8:30 the reel started talking again, after 20 min. or so had another one boatside. but the hook broke and had to watch him swim away. I had bent a little offset in a 9/0 owner Jobu, I must have made a weak place in the hook. Drifted the rest of the night with no more bites. New boat fished 10 min. caught a sword. I LIke it. I never would have caught those fish with this site, and all it's great members. Thanks guys
