Well we starting catching bait and could only get speedos but had some squid also.
First drift was nothing. Second drift we get railed on the shallow tip rod and loose the fish quickly, than the deep tip rod gets hit about 30 seconds later. We get tight and fight is on. 45 minutes later a fat 62 incher aboard. Anyone else do any good? A friend of mine got 2 small fish that he released. Our VHF was cutting in and out so I couldnt hear what you guys were doing. Capt Ted |

Slow slow night. Was it you that was yelling "one in the boat!" on 72? That was all we heard about on the radio. We had one slashed squid. Lots of tinkers around. We did pick up 2 schoolie mahi off a board on the way out.
Going out again tonight. Hopefully the effects of that west wind have worn-off by now. |
