Default 2-28 Report

The bite was as hot as it gets last night. Took out my son and friend from work. We got lines out just at sunset and had our first fish on in about 5 minutes. About 2 minutes into the fight the other tip rod goes off and we have 2 descent fish on.

The first fish come up pretty dead so we boat it - 56 inches

Next fish comes up nice a green and was about the same size so we decide to tag and release.

While releasing the second fish our far ballon bait screams. We get tight on it and another fight. This bait was way out and 200ft down, so we had a lot of line to gain. About 1 hour later a stock 64 incher comes aboard.

All of this before 9:00. We were back in the inlet at 9:30

i heard of a couple other guys getting fish in the 55 inch range.

Fun night!

Off what city were you drifting? I hope the bite stays hot for the next few days. I plan to be out 2, maybe 3 times in the next few days.

Ran out of Port Everglades (fort lauderdale) and setup on the 49.3 line. Only about 5 boats out last night and it got real calm.

It,s a great boat a little slow even with the 250s though. It runs best with the 300s.Maybe go with E-tecs for more power.Good luck with it you will love the boat.
