Default Live report!!!

Well I just got off the phone with Headfirst and he said Barry has a Slob in the boat with a Huge one hooked up right now.
That's all I could make out.... sounded like they were just barely in cell phone range.

WTG boys!

Edit: they have been hooked up for over 3 hours now!!

It got nasty on the way in that's for sure. I wanted to stay with Barry and crew but I was on someone Else's boat. I am so glad all are safe. I got drenched on the way in. I did coin a new frays [ I would rather pound then drown] I was looking for the mask and snorkel

Nope, it wasn't us on the Headfirst. We went 1/1, releasing a pup early in the evening.

Quackers... we kept in touch with Barry. We were maybe 2 miles to the south of you guys. Kept them within sight behind us on the way in, and met up at the ramp.

I would do it again in a heartbeat. I would have cut off everything for some one if they needed it. A longfin mako I think that is as cool as a slob

QQ,
Thanks for the offer to pick up your spread last night. I hope that I have the opportunity to return the favor.

Longfin Mako??
I guess so. Ive never seen one before.

Ive killed plenty of shortfins, but those longfins have a "weird" look to them. Body shape & teeth of a mako, but the dorsal & pects of a jumbo blue shark. Coloring was not of a mako either.

That sucker was easily 400, good thing I didnt poke him with the "brass squid".

Shark Tagger,
That fish was hooked in the mouth, but at some point during the fight it got tail-wrapped. After 3 hours on the rod, the fish was pretty beat, but did swim away healthy.

Also no jumps from the fish.

Those are some cool pics. I see the brass in the pic was ready to go  I can see why that fish was so tough with those big wings in the current with it's head down. Like reeling in a 400lb 12x8 plank or a 58 Buick  It looks like a blueshark a mako and a oil fish had a wild party and this is the results.

Quack quack thanks again!!

What a battle, those pictures don't do the fish justice as i didn't want to get to close. The fish was over half as long as the 23' boat! Knowing now that is was a Mako makes me a lot happier as that is one fish i can cross off my list. We also laned a 65'' fatty with some nice orange meat!

Quack Quack How far are you from Boca? Want a few steaks?

Size Pups are 38-49 in (97-125 cm) long and about 26.5 lb (12 kg) at birth; most specimens are about 7 ft (2.2 m) long and 150 lbs (70 kg) in weight; maximum known length is 14 ft (4.3 m), based on a female specimen taken 15 mi (24 km) off Pompano Beach, Florida, in February 1984.

Near record long fin great job on that fish :salut: I told UB I was up half the night thinking about the slob you were fighting and the other half worried if everyone was safe. I work in Boca on yamato and Dixie. I would love a couple steaks. My freezer just hit empty on sat. call my cell 315-8881 I will tell you were to go. Thank you very much you and your crew are true gentleman.

By the look of the head/mouth pic, it looks like a long fin Mako. Eyes and teeth look like Mako. Wish I could see a better shot of the tail, then I would be 100%.
