Default Islamorda Swordfish Report

Capt. John had the Pretty Work out and caught 4 swordfish a couple nights ago. They boated one and released the others. The boated fish weighed in at 126 pounds. This fishing was close to the new moon...just wait till the full moon comes back up in a couple weeks!

Default Any lurkers in Jamaica?

Great job Over_under and the rest of the group.

Sounds like some nice action a few days back too.

Since you weighed that fish, did you happen to get the measurements too? There may be this little look-up chart project in the works if we can just get enough good data put together with weighed fish.

My guess of LJFL would be 67".

What was your actual numbers?

Jerry - They're getting close. We should start seeing reports from you real soon, from Kingston.

Default Tonight' s the night.

Good Luck Jerry:

I will call you at 7:30 p.m. sharp for a live update. Only from Jamaica Mon. ..... I will be expecting to hear a Tiagra 50 wide loosing line, clicker on and bottles rolling around on deck from all of the chaos.

I received a call/invite to go out tonight too. But I had to decline due to Paternal responsibilities: baby-sit while mama-bear is doing the Jane Fonda workout. No complaints there but it is cramping my swordfishing addicted lifestyle. Maybe tomorrow will be another opportunity. Weather should be a little better too.

I am checking flights every other day, day-2-day is $205 but the lure of a deep discount keeps me from pulling the trigger. End of February may have some distinct possibilities. Save some of that top-shelf Appleton for me! Get your tackle list together.

hey guys, the boat is a 46' Whiticar. Has a huge cockpit like a 31' Bert...kinda like a 31' Bert on steroids, but it rides great!

i'll check with capt. john and see if he has the measurements and where the got most of their bites...

stand by!

1200-1400', started the drift 30 miles out of bud n' marys. bites came the whole drift from 200' down right on up to the surface. squids were the bait this trip...
