Sunday report

Finally had a small weather window to try and get a sword to replace the turkey. Seas were a confused 3' with an occasional 4'er thrown in every 15 minute or so to keep you honest. Wind was SE about 15, gusting close to 20. Was able to maintain about 20mph and setup by 6:30. Once we got to the stream it smoothed out and we were able to run about 26-28mph. At about 8:15, light showed up on the surface on the 200' bait and got tight, but the fish was dead weight, never ran drag. Got him to the boat in under 5 minutes where he was hooked in the head, tailwrapped and getting pulled in backwards. A quick measurement showed he was 49" and he was Thursday's dinner. Should have headed in but we reset for another hour or so without a bite. All in all, it was very fishable once we got out, a little bumpy ride out. Saw 4 other boats, didn't hear much on the radio but unoffically heard there were a few nice fish caught.

Nice! Swordfish on Thanksgiving... SWEET!

Good catch! At least you found one for all your effort. Sounds like a live bait catch?

Runner, 200'. Had a tinker out all night and never got a look, pretty unusual for me. I like tinkers alot.
