Default report for 7/9 friday

knowing in advance that we had to come in early, so we set up on the 26 05, and ofcourse the good old 49 9. 30 seconds after letting out the 4th bait, a squid off the rod tip at about 500ft gets chewed, and we deck a 85 to maybe 90 pounder. it ate at the 26 08, but that was the only action for the night. and we rode the 50 all the way home to boca inlet. nice night. very nice weather and a pretty nice fish to top it off. it was my friends first swordfish who has never gone before in his life, and really never fishes.

Congrats! I watched the winds at Fowey Light last night and it was blowing a steady 12-15 knots so I opted to stay home. Sounds like things were a little calmer north.

6 fish WHAT WAS HE UP TOO? Sounds like he was busy all night long! Thats awsome any size to the fish?Have never caught 6 in one night but have caught 10 in 2 nights stopping at 5 at 12:00. I wish i had the crew to stay out till the sun came up on those two nights but can't complain about the past maybe some day I'll get double digits. 8)

Fished the south grounds last night with 1/2 of Team Tiara, 3-5' seas that laid down to 2-3' later on in the evening. Had a great pretty much due north drift. Covered great bottom, but not a single run off. Had a small sailfish in the lights about 12". about 2:00 had a nice fish swim through the light about 50-60 feet down couldn't tell if it was a swordie or a mako. If I was to take a gues I would say it was a Mako about 6-7'. stayed out till 2:45 no action called a night. All in all it was a great night with good company. Wino it was great fishing with U and look foward to doing it again soon. Good luck to all the guys out there tonight and I'll be out there with the whole Team tomorrow night.
