Default Skunked Twice

All I know is swording was was easy back in the day. Second time back on the grounds and skunked pulled an all nighter. Good note some guy and his three kids hit the LHP scale with a 325 at first light hooked up at 11p.m. Let me ask you guys, there was no buoy guys when I stopped swording. No offense to buoy guys because we all have to make a living. But I noticed there F#$king every where. But I guess my question is there a decrease in nighttime fishing due to all the commercial pressure. It just wasn't the same out there.

Kinda hard to blame your two bad nights of fishing on the bouy guys when you have only been out twice. My buddy got one last night on rod and reel over 400 fought it for 5 hours. To be honest with you theirs only 3 or 4 guys really bouy fishin hard out front anyways at any given time and fishin hasent been that good for any body lately at night.Hopefully they will start biting now that its november we all ways see a good push this time of year.Better Luck on your next trip.

Kevin,
I made 10 (TEN) daytime trips with either my boat or with others and never had a bite. We stuck at it and Dave (whiteout), Patrick, and I got a nice fish on my 11th trip. I've caught plenty before but just ran into a bad streak so don't feel bad about two trips. No doubt there have been less fish lately but they move alot and one day here and the next day gone. If you want to catch one you just have to keep trying and don't give up. Harry

Seriously, they migrate and it can be tough. I feel like 2007 was a pretty good year for them in size and numbers. While we have seen some VERY big fall fish in the last two years, the numbers have been consistently down. I think the swords are elsewhere for the time being.

I caught two very decent fish this year (and hooked and lost two other really nice fish on the same nights). Then 5 skunks in a row and I mean total skunks, not even bites. It has been a very sporadic/slow year for us up in Ft Pierce. I just do not think there are that many fish around compared to the previous 4 years we fished.
