Way to go Fishy! Very pretty fish. Thanks for the report. Are you fishing the Marathon sword trench or Floyds Wall or somewhere else?

nice fish the perfect size for a decent battle and table fare, i'm pacing like an expecting father to a new baby till i can get back out , got the duty phone and can not be more than 30 minutes away from the shop!$@$~!@$~@#!$~ Hopefulkly the weather will hold for next weekend. Was talking to some guys at conchey joes and they were mentioning the "swordfish trench" SE of the Marathon Humps and they were averaging 3 fish per trip up to 200 lbs

floyds wall , south end keep the bait on the bottom i'm using 12 # when the rod moves hit the button fast or i miss em every time they are crafty at getting the baits off (especially with all the extra line out)tie it on real good it dont need to be pretty like at night just tied on good ...i'm using break away and stay on weight the only downfall with stay on is when they jump it acts as a dehooking device..the break away can get hung up too and break before the fish gets it and your #$$@@ so its a catch 22... good luck

I tried a drift last saturday night just outside of the trench out in 1900 - 2050 where the bottom seemed to look really good and had no action except for a shark when clearing lines at 2 am. I guess I should have stayed in the trench.
