Went out last night with a little action on the deep baits. We started fishing at 8:30 and had the spreed in the water for about 30 mins when we noticed the back rod doubled over. After a short fight the fish bite thru the leader confirming our thoughts that it was sharky. After get another bait out it was time to relax and wait for the bite. The rod tip bait was down for about 45 mins so i checked the bait and proceded to let it back out with the bait untouched. After a long slow drop i felt as though it was heavy then normal and then lighter than heavier again, time to reel and come TIGHT. A 2 hour fight resulted in a first for our angler with a nice 67". Will be back at it agin tonight.

I'm glad you stuck it out last night Drew, it paid off. We went 2 for 2 and left early about 2am. Our first was a releaser about 40 inches and then we had a nice time on a decent fish that took the boat rod and went airborn right quick. Went airborn again and hook must of slipped out and caught him on his side. 25 minute hard fight and finally leadered in our foul hooked 57 incher maybe 90 pounds. My first time Sworfishing crew had a blast.
