Was fortunate to go 2 for 1 last night. First one hit around 9:30 on the deep tip road outside of the 49. Got tight and pulled the hook a couple minutes in.
Second one hit closer in around 11:20 on the "Hot" rod/setup. Fish fought hard for first few minutes and then just dead weight, couldn't figure it out. Get the 51 incher to the side of the boat and realize the entire bottom portion of it's tail has been biten off by Mr Mako. I would have released the fish if it hadn't been disabled. Had a rod ready, but never saw Mr Mako. Perfect weather out and fishing has been strong!
Did run into a boat(s) on the drift with NO LIGHTS on. Also had a very nice 28-31' open fisherman come by at about 100 yards at 25 knots + with absolutely no lights on until it got to the 100 yard mark and then shut them off again 50 yards later.
