North end report 8/6 / size?

Ambitous' luck continues to hold as we drifted the North end last night. After dodging some nasty storms, managed to have rookie swordfisherman and newest swordfish addict Richard Murray land this 74" beauty. The stick on this fish was incredible, even eclipsing our larger fish in February. Fish ate a squid at 200' at 1:20 a.m.. Rich did a great job in landing her on stand-up 50 in just under one hour. With a 45" girth we estimated her between 185 and 210.

I will let you more experienced guys tell me if she qualifies Rich for 200# club status (?) We think she's there but our home port has no weigh station.

Flat bottom, 1,200 feet off Jupiter. Slow night, this was our only hit. Looks like we need another shirt Mike!

Good job guys. Nice fish! That's the great thing about swording. Some nights all you get is one hookup but that's all you need...

Nice fish guys. The length girth formula puts it at about 187 to 206lbs awesome fish.
