Made it out (sort of) with cubanpuerto on their 36 Palmetto. We were looking at north winds on the way out so the stream was looking a little nasty. We figured it would calm down soon so we started to set up when we hit the spot. Two lines out and this massive storm is closing in on us from the east. We pull the plug at that point. Very large seas (not the problem) and lots of lightning that was getting closer. As we pulled in the lines a school of dolphin chased the squid up. It wasn't even sunset yet so we could see at least 5 of them (keepers for sure), unfortunately we didn't have any time to spare. An hour or so of driving through nasty weather and we were safely in the inlet. Oh well, it doesn't always work out. Good luck to all in the tournament.

Bummer, I was hoping that you would get a nice fish. How did the boat run? I have been looking at them for a while. Boat goes to survey tomorrow, Friday. Then maybe Santa may be nice to me .

We saw some good ground swell after midnight, in the am when I was out with slasher. Good decision the fish will be there tomorrow as well.
