Awsome fish, do you use the mustad hooks all the time? I use both those and have been using the Owner 10/0 too.

Rod Rattler, You probably get mostly NE sword meat up your way which is pretty much in the grey to pale brown color.
THere are quite a few people on the forum that spent a lot of time on the boats catching them up that way, so they would be able to confrm, deny or add to this statement...I base it on what I was buying for restaurants and what I had seen in the markets when I was in RI and MA. The S. Florida punkin', in many peoples' opinion, has a slightly richer possibly creamier taste, and many make the observation that they are a little fattier. The pumpkins I have caught really have a flavor profile very close to a sirloin steak, after coming off the grill. I have only caught pumpkins...that's out of 3 fish. Does anyone catch 'plain 'ol swordies around here? I am not informed of this>..

Thanks DonK, But I have to admit I have never ate Swordfish. I am not sure why? I guess it could be because I question what they call (fresh fish) around here? Hopfully I will get the chance to try some real FRESH FISH when I get down there. Thanks Again Dennis
