Default Sunday night 1/4

After sitting out all night I finally put one in the boat at 5:00a.m. Every 3 hours I had a screamer that would pull. Its hard to fish by yourself. I realize you can't keep the tension on the fish and thats why I lose em...
Good night! Get tight.

I went out last night with Tony, Dragon Bait, and my friend Silvie on Second Chance. The last time we took Silvie out the 5-10 knot forecast turned out to be 20+ knots from the west and she will not forgot that ride home for awhile. Last night it was awesome; we had a late start and missed all the storms. Tony did about 35 knots and we set up south of the 50 and inshore of the 50. With only 2 baits in the water, the float on the purple squid at 200' goes under and I get tight. Silvie reels in her 1st sword, a 51" 70# keeper, and the night is looking good. We end up going
3 for 4 with Silvie catching a triple header and me "loosing" one. We released two fish (of course the night we leave the tags home!), one in real excellent shape, to fight again. a lot of bait fish, flyers, and plankton rich waters. we caught fish from where we began and up to the port and between the 49.5 and 50.5. the current was near 4 knots and slightly offshore. the other 3 fish were hooked on red squids at 100+', blue light,
and using "Capt. Ken's numbers". 8^) cheers, arthur
